Today I saved a chick.

I got a chick today. Out of nowhere. Actually, I saved the chick. I know for lot of men it is a dream come true situation. Before you get into some conclusion of me being a bay watcher and saved a blonde from Chowpatty (though I wish) and all other nonsensical stuffs, the chick is actually a chick bird fallen from its nest. Chimily (all the Maharastrian friends around my place called it) good name.

The story goes like this, I was walking by the lane to buy some cd’s and suddenly I saw some 10-15 crows chasing something, before I realized Chimily just went across (bullet speed) my feet and went under a car. And this crow (stupid) actually didn’t care about me and went for it. It didn’t take too much time for me to figure out what had happened. When I saw up, I saw this parent bird ¼ size of the crow and fighting it out. Just a glimpse. It vanished into the trees. All the crows waiting for the Chimily to come outside and the worst scene was the Garage man repaired the God Damn car at the same moment and Chimily is just behind its front tire. I actually screamed when the driver started the car and I explained him the situation and all the Garage people and the driver in his White super cool uniform went for the bird under the car. Finally I managed to catch it. All chicks like me (just bragging) Chick naturally this one also liked me and felt safe (I don’t know why) and the BIG question came what to do with it? Six brains, seven including mine. First, the Philosopher “ Everyday chicks fall from sky, we can’t do anything about it” second, the Practical Man “ I am late, got to go”, third, our very own Business man “ go to Crawford Market, they will pay you for this bird”, fourth, a Pessimist “You can’t save these birds, all are going die”, next our Good Men “didn’t say a word, just looking at me and the bird and looking again at me thinking I would something good so that they can feel good, BA****DS!” Finally, an Advertising Mind I said “F**K You all” I go with my idea, it is the greatest.

I took the bird to vet, I told him I am not leaving the bird here, I will take care of it till the time it can fly. He wrote some multivitamin stuffs and got back to his business. I came back come with this chick and called all my friends to help me with feeding it. I really don’t know how to feed it, so any of you guys ever had a chick (you know now what I mean) can actually help me how to take care of it.

when you travel you find yourself

My plan this time was not to have a plan. I feel we are loaded with too much information today. Informative, Instructive, descriptive, educative, illustrative, graphic and all other nonsense. Why should we rely on them? Why don’t we rely on our senses? Are we too scared to face what we don’t know?

Traveled alone, got stranded, lost my way, walked miles, drenched in rain for hours, slept on the floor and finally got lost in space.

One thing I learned is –you are never alone, there is always someone to help you, no matter how worse the situation gets, there is always someone.

ABOUT ME

I AM NOT MY BODY, SO DO NOT GO BY MY LOOKS. I AM NOT MY MIND, SO DO NOT GO BY MY THOUGHTS.
[Everyone wants to know about everyone without actually knowing them. I hate lying as much as one talking about oneself. What if I tell you the truth? Less appealing, then TRUTH is less appealing.]

Everyman is a beast without love

Not many fairy tales are written for Men. Drama doesn’t move men. Fictions don’t inspire men. Romance doesn’t excite men. They are truer today as they were in the olden days (Gays & feminists are excluded). Apart from the drilling of our Indian moral stories and epics I never had the advantage of reading fairy tales from the West. The fact is that I am not fond of FAIRY TALES too. My belief is Fantasies and Fictions are for women. Recently I was watching a movie ‘The beauty and the Beast’ with my niece, you don’t have much choice when you are with kids. This movie, I have to admit I was moved. A tale for men, finally. Our hero is not a prince charming, not a prince enticing, not a prince glamorous, not a prince handsome, but a BEAST. Certainly not the kind even a plain girl in this world will fantasize. Story is simple; A Beast turns into a handsome prince when he realizes REAL LOVE, when he realizes he can’t force love, when he realizes love is not owning but giving. BOOM! He is transfigured.
Being a little artist, a little writer, and from an advertising background, we look at things beyond the surface. This is how I interpreted the tale. The BEAST, to me is a common man with the male ego, pride, power and supremacy over opposite gender.
A MAN is a BEAST, as long as he thinks only about himself, strives only for himself, dreams only for himself, and loves only himself.
A MAN is BEAST, as long as he believes possessions bring happiness and power brings glory.
A MAN is BEAST, as long as he takes everything and gives nothing.
A Man remains a Beast till he earns love.
Everyman is a Beast without love.
